3D Letters for Shopfronts & Offices

Dimensional, CNC or laser-cut letters that give a shopfront or reception real presence — cut from acrylic or foam PVC in your choice of font, height and mounting style.

MATERIALS

Foam PVC or Acrylic

Foam PVC (Foamex) is lightweight and cost-effective. Acrylic (Perspex) gives a glossier, more premium finish. Both suit indoor and outdoor use, in 5–19mm thickness.

MOUNTING

Standoff or Adhesive

Standoff mounting holds each letter slightly off the wall for a subtle shadow — the standard choice for shopfronts. Adhesive sits flush for internal walls.

COLOUR

Standard or Custom

Black or white is included as standard. Custom colours are available by RAL or Pantone reference, entered directly in the configurator.

Foamex vs Acrylic

Foamex (PVC)

A lightweight, cost-effective option that's ideal for many indoor applications and shorter-term outdoor signage. It has a smooth, generally matt finish and is easy to handle.

Choose Foamex if: you want a lightweight, economical solution.

Acrylic (PMMA)

Acrylic provides a more premium appearance, with a smooth, high-quality finish and excellent durability. It's particularly suited to permanent signage where appearance and longevity are important.

Choose Acrylic if: you want a premium finish and long-term durability.

What are built-up letters?

“Built-up letters” is the industry term for exactly what we make: three-dimensional letters with a face, sides (called returns), and real depth — not a flat cut-out shape. That depth is what gives shopfront and reception signage genuine presence and a shadow line, rather than looking like a printed sticker stuck to the wall.

Fixing options

Standoff (raised)

Studs fixed to the back hold each letter slightly off the wall for a subtle shadow — no fixings visible from the front. The standard choice for shopfronts.

Adhesive backed

Bonded flush to the wall with high-strength adhesive. Best for smooth surfaces, lightweight letters, and indoor or sheltered locations.

Not required

Arranging your own installation? Choose this in the configurator and we'll leave fixing hardware out entirely.

Where 3D letters work best

Shopfront lettering — the classic use for built-up letters, usually standoff-mounted for a shadow line that's visible from the street.

Reception lettering — a brand name or logo behind the front desk, often adhesive-mounted for a flush, premium finish.

Logo lettering — reproducing a logo mark or wordmark as a built-up 3D element, upload your own artwork and we'll cut it to shape.
